Thornton finishes third with LOLMDS at 300 Raceway
Ricky Thornton Jr. was back in action on Friday afternoon with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the Truck Country 50. With a heat race victory placing him on the second row for the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Thornton held his spot in the 50-lapper to finish third. On Sunday afternoon at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) after Mother Nature pushed the event back a day, Ricky secured his spot into the CRST Transportation Solution 50 with a fourth-place finish in his heat. With $15,000 on the line, Thornton gained three spots in the 50-lapper to register a seventh-place finish.
Ricky is fifth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
